The volatile oil, Oleum Bergamii, of the rind of the fruit Citrus limetta. The Bergamot Tree has been generally ranked among the lemons, but is now considered a variety of the Citrus Limetta of Risso. Its essential oil can be obtained by either expression or distillation of the rinds.
