Seidlitz Powder Measures were made from hardwood and stand ~2 inches high.  It consists of two cups of different size made in the fashion of an egg cup.  The larger cup was used to measuring the alkaline mixture and the smaller cup for measuring the acid portion.  It was considered a time saver that eliminated the need to weigh the portions when this popular medicine was prepared in the drug store.
