“This model represents Camman’s lightest form with two metallic arms connected by a hinged joint, the tubes being held in contact with the ears by means of an elastic tape (lacking).  Two silk covered elastic tubes are joined at the pectoral end by a forked metallic tip attached to the hard rubber bell.  This model was typically supplied with two bells;  one ~ 1 inch in diameter for making examinations of the heart, the other bell-shaped ~ 1 5/8 inches in diameter for examination of the chest.  An additional soft rubber tip often accompanies the instrument and is attached by slipping over the small heart tip.”
