Long-handled Spring Forceps with Tenaculum Points were designed for and well suited to handling of soft delicate tissues during dissection and suturing.  Such instruments were intended for use in the treatment of female diseases, and in particular the repair of vesicovaginal fistulas for which it is well suited on account of its long and slender form.
