Greig Smith's Clamp and Knife for Ovariotomy and Broad Ligament during ‘Kolpo-hysterectomy’ as illustrated in the 1914 Down Bros. Catalog.  Smith devised an ingenious articulated ovariotomy and hysterectomy clamp with an integral wedge-shaped knife that follows a fitted track when the instrument is in the closed position. Since the knife is limited by the extent of the track the pedicle cannot be cut beyond the distal end of the clamp.
