Dr. Edwards’ Olive Tablets contain extract of stramonium, alkaloids, podophyllin, aloin, and cascarin bitter.  They were intend for use as a “pleasant laxative - with one or two tablets taken at bedtime expected to cause the bowels to act nicely the next morning.”  They were manufactured and distributed by The Olive Tablet Company, Columbus, Ohio.
