Syrup of Hypophosphites contains a combination of Calcium Hypophosphite -4.5% and Potassium/Sodium Hypophosphite -1.5% each.  The Hyposphosphites act as a general tonic, converted to phosphate in the stomach, and thus provide a safer form in which to administer phosphorus.  Employed in cases of osteomalacia, scrofulis, anemia, bone-softening lactation, and as an excellent remedy in acne indurata.
