The Pedicle Clamp of Spencer Wells for the removal of ovarian cysts, French, c. 1880, signed “Collin & Cie.”  Finely constructed of polished steel with brass thumbscrews and checkered ebony grips, the clamp measures 17 cm overall.  The inner surface of the jaws are finely scored for securing and compressingthe pedicle, and the arc is grooved for securing the position of the clamp by means of its thumbscrews.  The handles are removable such that the clamp may be left in-situ to be removed after several days as necessary.
