This example by “LUER A PARIS” has a pair of 35 mm. tabs which pivot freely and aid in rotational displacement about the joint.  Tightening the thumb-screw secures the blades such that they cannot rotate and are fully splayed apart.  It is ~10cm shorter than the classic form.
