E. Reynolds of Boston, designed his Forceps Handle Clamp along with a pair of curved axis traction rods, with hooks at the proximal end and buttons at the distal end. Thehooks are intended to attach loosely to a common traction handle to permit rotation. The opposite ends terminate in a flat button that attaches easily to the proximal curve of each fenestration on the blades of most any Simpson’s style forceps. Lastly, the handles of the forceps are fastened by a separate clamp of simple construction, resembling a monkey-wrench, that effectively stabilizes the handles of the forceps during use.
