Skene’s Hawk-bill Scissors are designed for removing the cicatricial (scar or keloid) tissue forming at the angle of a lacerated cervix by a single bite.  The instrument functions in a punch-like manner with sharp cutting edges fitting closely into a fenestrated blade so that the operator can excise with a single action what would take a long time to accomplish with conventional scissors or knives.
