Malpositions of the uterus were thought to requiremanual or instrumental replacement followed by the application of supports or braces to preserve normalcy.  For this purpose an amazing variety of pessaries were devised. A splendid example, with original carton and wrapper, of a No. 7 British Watch Spring Pessary by Simplic as illustrated in Allen & Hanbury’s 1930 catalogue.
