‘Weiss’ Female Dilator’ as illustrated in their 1863 catalog.  The design with its slender and tapered blades was intended for dilation of the urethra in preparation for the introduction of lithotomy forceps. A fine and rare example with a smooth and checquered handle, all in VFC.
