Uterine curettage permits the removal of foreign growths, adventitious tissues or mucous membranes from the uterus by scraping motions.  The procedure is often followed by packing the uterus to control bleeding. A nice example of Thomas’ “dull” form with rounded surfaces on the curette at the distal end.
