Devised for the detachment of sessile and submucosal uterine fibroids its construction embraces the principles of the curette, dissector and saw blade to enucleate a tumor from its bed.  The instrument consists ofa steel spoon curette, the margins of which are provided with a dull saw-toothed edge. When properly employed the rounded back of the instrument should be pressed close against the endometrial cavity to minimize damage to adjacent tissues.  With a rotary or sawing motion it may be used effectively – Truax figure 1126.
