Devised for the detachment of sessile and submucosal uterine fibroids its construction embraces the principles of the curette, dissector and saw blade to enucleate a tumor from its bed. The instrument consists ofa steel spoon curette, the margins of which are provided with a dull saw-toothed edge. When properly employed the rounded back of the instrument should be pressed close against the endometrial cavity to minimize damage to adjacent tissues.
