A splendid and rare example of Gemrig’s Instrument for Grasping Tumors that employs petit opposing hooks arranged in a helical fashion that emerge from a cylindrical shroud by compressing the spring along a central shaft.  The hooks secured the tumor with a twisting motion and with the spring released the tumor was drawn against the shroud with sufficient force to secure it and apply traction and a twisting action to effect removal, FC.
