Place Haslam’s design includes four blades arranged in such a manner to provide excellent visualization of the cervix and anterior vagina.  The proximal end is open anteriorly to enhance examination and repair of vesico-vaginal fistulas. Separate thumb-screws permit separate lateral and A/P displacement respectively.
